The main reason you want to delete similar images to save some space on your hard drive. Go through your image folder delete extra images is too long. In addition, many of the similar images can have different names which makes identification of the nearly impossible.

SimilarImages is a desktop application that similar findings (or duplicate) images on the hard disk between different folders.

Configuration
Best of the tool is used to configure the "similarity" to the threshold allows you to configure pairs of images to display when they compare.
Pairs of image files with a comparison value greater than the threshold are ignored. Some threshold values are recommended:
- To find duplicates (fast mode): 0 - 10
- To scan through photos: about 12
- To scan through the folders that contain scans: 50 - 60
- Search Inclusive only compare files that are in the same folder with others.
- Exclusive Search means that only files that are not in the same folder are compared with each other.
Speed
If you have a lot of pictures and photos on your computer, the first check will be a good time. But the great thing about the tool is that it keeps its own index of the scanned images. Next check run through your library faster graphics. This makes scanning much faster.
The program even tracks your not-to-duplicate decisions: whether to enable Cache-System, SimilarImages remember when you indicate that one partner is not a duplicate.When, later, check again the same folders that would bring the same false-positives.

(Semi-) Automatic suppression
The tool also aims to make more rapid elimination of semi-automatic duplicate file removal feature helps you choose the file to delete a couple Faster. When activated, a file of a pair is pre-selected according to their rules.
For example, you can set to always pre-select a smaller image in a couple or one of the lower resolution or always the newest file. This definitely makes clearing additional images faster!

Working with image pairs
Once the application is made in the specified folders scan, shows the pairs of similar images. Each image has a thumbnail, size, dimensions, date of last modification, and other properties. You can delete any files or replace each other.
- The X-icon allows you to delete the file.
- The TwoFiles-icon allows you to change the file. (Exchange in this context means: The other file is overwritten by this file, so the contents of the file remains in first place but the name of the second.)
- In the Delete: deletes the files.
- The second icon allows you to delete the selected file to the semi-automatic removal.
