Android Antivirus or thymus Is it Necessary?

Must Read

A few days ago, Google's blog + Chris DiBona brown IOL accusing the makers of antivirus services for Android that took advantage of the fear of users to sell products that were missing.
Of course, these words do not sit very well and these days over several developers of such programs have criticized this approach and provided data on Android malware problem. But far from defending its own interests subjective concepts, what is reality?
We've all read the "scandals" of malware on Android, but this also occurred in IOS. In this debate on security in mobile devices have mixed concepts such as the vulnerability of open source and closed when what really matters is the distribution of the code.
The open source community is more secure than insecure, and that has nothing to do with that code, is simply as society and more likely to involve more people.
Despite all that we believe people tend to be good, so that for every criminal willing to bother with your code we will see many more that make it more secure.
A closed system has however only those who own resources created to defend themselves, whether they are sufficient to deal with those who want to cool it, but if not, there is no community support and assist you. And what is clear is that there is 100% secure code and sooner or later they will do.
In this way security issues are more difficult to find in a closed system, but also more complicated to solve. Therefore it is not opening the code, the main problem is that the way to get applications for Android Market is not only, but many more.
This decentralization absolute maelstrom of markets in third along with the ease of installing applications downloaded from any site does not have control and that easily, if you install the wrong things, you cool the terminal. But this also happens with IOS jailbreak and the like.
With all of this is it less secure than iOS Android, Symbian or WP7? Operating system not intrinsically, but as software distribution system completely.
Are mobile antivirus needed? If you move away from the official channels of distribution of applications without doubt, but many of these programs also include extras that are not bad, how to block unwanted numbers, locate stolen mobile, data encryption, remote wipe ...
But as is always the best thing is simply common sense, most security breaches are not super-hidden by a hacker on the strength of a supervillain, but by people who download crap or press buttons without reading.
